The beta version of Hatena Haiku has now been closed and it has been officially re-released with modifications. Entries from the Japanese site (h.hatena.ne.jp) will no longer be displayed on the English site.
Up till now Hatena Haiku (h.hatena.com) displayed the same entries as the Japanese site, which were displayed using an English interface. However, now entries submitted from the .com domain will only appear on h.haatena.com, and entries submitted from the Japanese site will only appear on h.hatena.ne.jp.

Hatena's miniblog, "Hatena Haiku" was introduced today as a closed beta service.
Hatena Haiku is a mini-blogging service that lets you make short entries regarding specific topics or keywords. In addition to keeping you linked in to your friends with short text updates throughout the day, Hatena Haiku lets you select a keyword, website, or a product as your topic.
At first we have released a closed beta version of Hatena Haiku targeted only to students with an e-mail address ending with ".edu" in order to make improvements to the service. We will continue on its development and look forward to making a formal public release of the service.
