Hello, this is Aaron in Kyoto, Japan with the latest news about the worldwide Flipnote Hatena community.
On early Monday morning there was a great view of an annular solar eclipse here in Japan. During this time the moon passed in front of the sun, leaving just a bright ring of light. Did you get a good view of the eclipse in your part of the world? The excellent photo above was taken by Hatena staff member id:dario in Osaka, Japan.
I want to remind our readers that you can also read the Flipnote Hatena news in languages other than English. This week we would like you to create animations about puzzles. Make stories about putting puzzles together or taking them apart, animate real puzzles with the Nintendo DSi Camera application, or create funny scenes about where lost puzzle pieces go. You might even want to bring puzzle pieces to life and have them dance around in your Flipnotes. All types of animations about puzzles can be posted -- don't limit yourself to just flat 2D puzzles. See where your creativity takes you!

Hey! I'm from a wicked cool city in Massachusetts. I'm 18 and will go to college soon to become an awesome high school art teacher. I have a big family and the youngest member is my cat Chester. He's only 3 and I think he's the best cat ever.
I love drawing, painting, taking pictures, and fashion. Fashion is my passion and I'm really into fashion photography. Most of my drawings and paintings are inspired by fashion. I also love politics, video games, Mexican soccer, nature, people, and cats.

Hello, this is Aaron at Hatena in Kyoto, Japan with some excellent animations posted by Flipnote artists from all around the world.
Every week we create a new weekly topic to help our community improve their animation skills, and allow everyone to be creative and learn to express ideas in new ways.
We feature about 19 different Flipnote artists in the news every week, which comes to over 900 creators a year being featured. In addition we also publish the 'Hatena Featured Artist' every Wednesday, where we feature about 52 different Flipnote artists every year.
We try our best to introduce as many different creators as we can every week, and if you are making original Flipnotes and posting about the weekly topic often your chances are actually quite good to be featured here.
One of the best things about writing the news is being able to discover new animators every week. It makes me happy to see how people around the world approach the weekly topic, and to be able to see Flipnote artists improve over time. If you haven't yet posted Flipnotes about the weekly topic please give it a try and share your animations with the world!
